Microscopy Characterization of Organic-Inorganic Interfaces
Dates: 22-23 February 2018
The meeting is dedicated to microscopy of materials comprised of both organic and inorganic constituents (in close proximity) and is aimed at bringing together experts from both the life science and materials science communities to address this challenging and increasingly important topic.
The 2018 focused lecture, taking place on the second day of the meeting, will be organised by Prof Nico Sommerdijk from the Eindhoven University of Technology. Prof Sommerdijk is the scientific director of the Center for Multiscale Electron Microscopy and leads the Laboratory of Materials and Interface Chemistry at Eindhoven University of Technology. With his current research focusing on bio-inspired hybrid materials through biomimetic mineralization and self-organization, 2018’s lecture series will add some really interesting and inspiring talks to the event programme.
Scientific Organisers: Dr. Nadezda V. Tarakina (MPIKG), Dr. Andy Bushby (QMUL), Dr. Roland Fleck (KCL), Mr. Russell Bailey (QMUL), Dr. J.P. Patterson (TU/e), Prof. N.A.J.M. Sommerdijk (TU/e)
